Wes Archer "Watch Where You Are Wheeling"

Here is a paint by Wes Archer. It's is very well done.
His work keeps your eye moving throughout the painting.
He fills in every area to keep the viewers interest. There is
a story here and I am still trying to figure it out. He makes
use of flat shapes while also aware of a 3-D environment. While
I don't know if he used any live action reference Wes puts a lot
of himself into the painting.

During the end of a painting session Wes heard about a real turtle that was lodged under a car. This he called "Synchronicity".

This eagle reminded me of when Wes helped my on a scene with Lisa Simpson looking up at some hovering Vultures. Perfect silhouette and color choices.
The expression here really gets the point across
in both characters. Specially the dog. Notice the tongue
hangs behind silhouette of face.

Some titles that went around in my head.

"Watch Where You Are Wheeling"
"California Coast"
"Stefani Speeder"
"Wagon Wheels"
