PHOTOSHOP - "Scratch Disk"

The computer has been running really slow and it's because of Scratch Disk. I found in the Preferences that you have the options to change the setting. I noticed the computer runs better since changing this setting but I still think it could be faster.

Here's a setting I used to get a clean up I scanned 'black and white' line art after scanning.

ExposureIn a camera, the amount of light that reaches the film (analog) or CCD or CMOS sensor (digital). The exposure is achieved by the sum of the shutter speed, aperture (f-stop) and ISO setting.

Offset: Gamma Correction: A method of compressing an image that enables 8 bits per pixel to look almost as good as 24 bits per pixel.

Gamma CorrectionAn adjustment to the light intensity (brightness) of a scanner, monitor or printer in order to match the output more closely to the original image. A gamma correction imposes the complement of the "tone curve" in order to flatten the line and bring the gamma closer to the ideal 1.0

I spent a unrecorded many hours on a 'light effect' yesterday.  After many versions I decided on this.
I still would rather have the light speed lighter and lighter out like you can make in ABOBE Illustrator.

I finally settled on having a blinking red light every  four seconds or so.  As if something went wrong but not like a loud siren going off, more like something broke.

Then I was messing around with the idea of doing a stationary plaid pattern behind his pants since it's too hard to render in on every image.

Here's one trying to use the grey/green rear shadows behind him.  Then I decided to try using a white light illuminating from the laboratory...

Here's another one playing with the idea putting patterns in the tree.

This close up follows with more light effects.
